Ingredients
Copy Ingredients
1 pound ground beef
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
4 garlic cloves, minced
1/2 white onion, grated and drained
1 egg, large
1/2 cup Italian bread crumbs
1/3 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
3 sticks mozzarella cheese, cut each into 4 pieces
1 (28 ounce) can
Tuttorosso® Italian Inspirations Tomato Sauce with Basil, Garlic, and Olive Oil
Instructions
In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, salt, minced garlic, grated onion, egg, breadcrumbs, and Parmesan. Mix until well combined.
Measure out 2 tablespoons of the meat mixture. Flatten each portion and place a cheese piece in the center. Fold the meat around the cheese and roll into a ball, sealing the edges tightly.
Heat a pan or skillet over medium-low heat with a bit of oil. Sear the meatballs until browned and cooked through, about 8-10 minutes, turning occasionally to cook evenly.
Remove meatballs from the pan. Pour the Tuttorosso Tomato Sauce into the pan, simmer until bubbling. Return the meatballs to the pan, coating them in sauce.
Top with freshly chopped parsley and more grated Parmesan. Serve hot and enjoy!
