Tender country style pork ribs braised in a savory tomato sauce made with our diced tomatoes. This dish is flavored with savory Tuscan flavors of rosemary, onion, olive oil and garlic. These are perfect for Sunday Supper, a holiday dinner party or when you're looking for a hearty meal.
Ingredients
Copy Ingredients
2 pounds bone-in country pork ribs
2 tablespoons olive oil
1/4 cup onion, very finely chopped
1 garlic clove, finely chopped
2 tablespoons
Tuttorosso® Tomato Paste
1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
1/8 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
1/4 teaspoon rosemary, dry
1 teaspoon sugar, white
1/2 cup red wine
1 (14.5 ounce) can
Tuttorosso® Petite Diced Tomatoes
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350º F.
Season pork ribs with salt and pepper. Heat a medium/large skillet over medium-high heat, add 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Add pork ribs, sear on all sides, move to an oven-safe casserole dish.
Add remaining tablespoon of olive oil to skillet and add the onion and garlic. Cook until fragrant and translucent, careful not to burn the garlic, about 3-4 minutes.
Add tomato paste and sauté for 1-2 minutes. Season with salt, pepper, rosemary and sugar. Deglaze pan with wine, scraping up any bits stuck to the pan. Add petite diced tomatoes and stir to combine.
Pour over ribs and cover with lid or aluminum foil. Place in preheated oven for 1 1/2 hours to 2 hours until ribs are fork tender.
Serve over cheesy polenta or along side garlic mashed potatoes.
