  • Heat a large pot on medium heat with olive oil. Add the garlic and cook for 5 minutes until golden brown, careful not to burn. Add the onion, crushed tomatoes and basil. Bring the mixture to a boil then turn down the heat to low and simmer for 20 minutes.
  • Remove the onions and garlic pieces.  Serve with desired pasta.
