This Spaghetti all’Assassina recipe offers a unique twist on traditional pasta-making methods. By cooking the spaghetti directly in Tuttorosso Italian Inspirations Crushed Tomatoes
and Tuttorosso Tomato Paste with Roasted Garlic, the pasta caramelizes, enhancing the natural sweetness of the tomatoes. The heat from the chilies elevates the flavors, while the creamy burrata perfectly balances the dish. Enjoy this delectable Italian-inspired recipe that's sure to impress! @vessys_gourmet_kitchen

Ingredients
Copy Ingredients
1 (28 ounce) can
Tuttorosso® Italian Inspirations Crushed Tomatoes Chunky Style
1 (6 ounce) can
Tuttorosso® Tomato Paste Roasted Garlic
2 teaspoons kosher salt
1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
3 1/3 cups water
6 garlic cloves, thinly sliced
1/3 cup olive oil
1 pound spaghetti
2 burrata, balls
basil, fresh, for garnish
Instructions
In a medium-low heat pan, mix the Tuttorosso Italian Inspirations Crushed Tomatoes and Tuttorosso Tomato Paste with Roasted Garlic. Season with salt and pepper, setting aside about 1 cup of the sauce for later use. Add water to the remaining sauce and keep it simmering to stay warm.
In another pan, sauté the thinly sliced garlic and chopped chilies in olive oil for a couple of minutes. Add the reserved sauce (without water) to the pan, then drop in the spaghetti. Cook until the bottom of the pasta caramelizes.
Gradually add the watered-down sauce to the pasta, flipping and stirring as it cooks. Cover the pan for the last few minutes of cooking. The spaghetti should be nicely caramelized at this point.
Serve topped with burrata, a drizzle of olive oil, and fresh basil.
